Who should the CISO report to? As the cyber landscape changes, and the demands of risk and compliance continue to rise, CISOs are expected to be more, and achieve more. There is a perception that CISO reporting structures can liberate, or constrain a CISO. But, this may be an oversimplified issue. Fortunately, wisdom is just a step away. Heather Hinton (3x CISO & Cyber Advisor) and Manju Mude (2x CISO, 2x Security Leader, & Cyber Advisor) would like the CISO community to look at the reporting structure as just the beginning, and focus on partnerships instead.
